Setting Up Your Custom Domain

Connect your own domain (e.g., yourmarket.com) to your Zinifly platform for enhanced branding and professionalism. This process typically takes 24-48 hours for full DNS propagation.

Purchase Your Domain

Buy a domain from registrars like GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, or Cloudflare. Choose a memorable, brandable name that represents your business.

Access Domain Settings in Zinifly

Navigate to Settings > Domain & SSL in your Zinifly dashboard and click "Add Custom Domain". Enter your domain name.

Configure DNS Records

Add the provided A record and CNAME record to your domain's DNS settings at your registrar. Copy the exact values shown.

Verify Domain

Click "Verify Domain" in Zinifly. Verification typically completes within 24-48 hours as DNS propagates globally.

SSL Certificate Generation

Once verified, an SSL certificate is automatically generated for secure HTTPS access. This usually takes 10-15 minutes.

DNS Configuration Requirements

You'll need to add these DNS records at your domain registrar. Zinifly provides the exact values in your dashboard:

A Record

Points your root domain to Zinifly servers.

  • Type: A
  • Name: @ (or blank/root)
  • Value: [Provided IP Address from dashboard]
  • TTL: 3600 (or default/automatic)

CNAME Record

Points www subdomain to your domain.

  • Type: CNAME
  • Name: www
  • Value: [Your root domain]
  • TTL: 3600 (or default/automatic)

Verification TXT Record

Proves you own the domain (temporary).

  • Type: TXT
  • Name: @ or _zinifly
  • Value: [Verification code from dashboard]
  • Remove: After verification completes

Important: Remove Existing Records

Before adding Zinifly DNS records, remove any existing A or CNAME records for @ and www to avoid conflicts. Keep MX records for email intact.
